Missions and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Project Manager (PM) who will manage all aspects of a project and the transition to operations (run mode). This includes management of project scope and functionalities, planning, execution, timing, quality, resources, risks (incl. digital risks) communication and costs. The PM also establishes and communicates goals and directs team activity.
The responsibilities of the PM may also include serving as an expert in project management and consulting for other projects as necessary due to his/her expertise.

Responsibilities
The Project Manager mission is to lead the delivery of internal and outsourced projects from project initiation to the transition to operations on time and on budget while meeting business objectives. The incumbent will have the responsibility to:

  • Conduct feasibility studies with technical teams (Architects, Infrastructure, , etc)
  • Help assess costs, capacity, contingency, infrastructure and evaluate the level of risk, needed budgets and the resulting IT Value Creation (ROI, IRR)
  • Design and lead project governance and reporting, in line with governance standards
  • Define the structure, scope, and lead efforts around work plans, schedules, cost estimates, resourcing required to deliver the project
  • Take care about the overall ecosystem and identify external dependencies and risks
  • Support the development of project business cases and steward the proposed project through governance for sign-off to proceed
  • Manage internal and external (vendor) resources within a distributed environment.
  • Direct the project delivery through active sponsorship, leadership and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements
  • Monitor and control execution of project though analyse, design, build, test and release phases
  • Animate the various committees in order to identify and anticipate risks and issues. Facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation to senior management.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored. Ensure associated references documents are updated (application, service catalog, configuration items)
  • Manage suppliers supporting project delivery
  • Provide direction and support to the project team
  • Manage the scope change process and issue identification/resolution with all stakeholders.

Competencies and Profile
Experience:

  • Diploma :Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related discipline
  • Experience: 5+ years experience in two of the three areas: Business/Operations, IT, or Project Management
  • Knowledge: Experience in project management skills, methods and techniques (planning, scheduling, project control procedures, etc.) and proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides as well as Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of Management / Organization in order to gather required data in a timely manner as well as present relevant information when required.
  • Works safely and complies with Air Liquide policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and interpret business data, making links to business processes and financial performance.
  • Ability to function in a team environment with extensive flexibility and limited supervision; must be a driven self-motivator.

  • Recognizes information needed for effective decision making; captures relevant data, transfers into concise and objective reports and presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong active listening skills and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate financial planning, reporting, and monthly close deadlines.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and a cooperative work environment.
