The Headlines:

The role of Brewery General Manager working in Toronto, ON, includes all aspects of running Molson Coors’ largest brewery in all of Canada. This individual will be responsible for leading a large and complex brewery and beverage operation.

This individual will be an Innovation partner who will successfully lead the implementation of our innovation strategy in alignment with Molson Coors’ vision of expanding its’ portfolio. This individual will work closely with Innovation to support execution of our overall portfolio growth strategy, driving innovation projects for both our iconic as well as new brands . Responsibilities also include being a thought and culture leader within the Supply Chain team, as well as a key partner to innovation and commercial teams, helping to manage and lead our processes and ways of working.

The Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Brewery Organization to safely maximize efficiencies, capacity, flexibility and productivity aligned to the logistics/sales requirements. Utilizes World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) processes to achieve or exceed targets. Responsible for the long-range plan, capital plan, and annual operating plan. This role will also lead and manage overall site strategy definition and execution.
  • Responsible for creating a winning culture, leading change initiatives and removing barriers to build a world class brewery organization through exemplary leadership practices. Ensures the application of robust people/development management practices, creating space for effective coaching and communications, recognizing the right behaviors and outputs throughout the brewery organization. Effectively represents the interests of the brewery network through engagement in the WCSC Americas’ Leadership Pillar and builds effective strategic partnerships within MCBC and externally. Responsible for government, community and media relations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, environment, quality, cost and reliability standards are met for the Brewery and driving conformance to regulatory (e.g. EHS/OSHA/SOX) and accreditation standards (e.g. ISO/HACCP etc). Implements and maintains systems to audit performance and to check compliance with rules and regulations. Also responsible to support employees in meeting operating standards both directly through coaching, training, and providing resources and indirectly by developing a balanced approach to implementation of WCSC practices. Responsible for environmental stewardship.
  • Create and communicate a vision which aligns Brewery Strategy to MCBC strategy and becomes the basis for long range plant, equipment, facilities, and human resources planning and execution using WCSC processes to deliver long term goals.
  • Contributes operational, business and industry expertise to enterprise wide initiatives to improve overall business performance. Responsible for the development and delivery of the brewery long-range plan, capital plan, and annual operating plan in support of the overall network.

The Other Qualifications:

  • You have a BA/BS in Business or a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • You have 10 + years manufacturing experience.
  • You have been successful at delivering outstanding results by leveraging existing methods and processes including WCSC. Strategic role for Mega/Large/Small brewery.
  • You have strong people management skills & communication skills
