Job description: We are in need of certified Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics. Working independently, you perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You work both in-field and in-shop requiring very little direction. As a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Journeyperson, you share your knowledge by mentoring others.

Qualifications of Heavy Duty Mechanic:

Completion of a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice.
Expert knowledge of John Deere agriculture equipment a very strong asset; Certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs
Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment
Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and Turf equipment
Computer skills required; Service Advisor an asset
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly and work seasonal extended hours and on weekends
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license required; forklift license preferred
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
