Position Overview

Hospitality Services staff take a proactive approach to providing a high-quality guest experience and have a meticulous and committed work ethic. Their passion lies in hospitality and positively impacting the guest experience by demonstrating proven customer service skills.

Hospitality Services staff care for staff rooms by making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, and accommodating any special requests related to room presentation. This team is also responsible for overall lodge cleanliness in common areas as well as serving, clearing, and supporting the culinary program.

This is a seasonal job opportunity. The CMH winter season runs from January 1 to mid- April. Days are worked as a 10-hour split shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage cleaning responsibilities daily, as well as ensuring the safe handling of cleaning products.
  • Execute the cleaning of all common areas of the lodge and look after laundry, cleaning washrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Provide a professional, highly organized, and detailed hospitality experience to guests when they return from their day of heli-skiing, including supporting the culinary program with preparation, serving, clearing, and cleaning.
  • Act as a leader within the hospitality department to engage with guests and provide excellent, friendly customer service interactions support staff, and assist the Lodge Manager with additional duties.
  • Take initiative around the lodge wherever needed, washing/drying/putting away dishes.
  • Follow OH&S, food safe, and WHMIS best-practices.
  • Support guests in the field program, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Food Safe Certificate.
  • First aid certificate, preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality.

Work Environment:

  • This job is in Revelstoke, BC. Employees are required to make their own accommodation arrangements and drive to the lodge for work shifts.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job-specific equipment on a constant basis.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

Compensation

A competitive daily rate will be provided, along with 4% vacation pay. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
