Job description: Reporting to the Manager, IT, the IT Infrastructure Administrator will play a key role in the completion of internal projects and design of future systems and services. Responsibilities include implementing and providing support for the behind the wall computer systems and software of the company. With a background in delivering a primarily virtualized business infrastructure, the ideal candidate for this position will be a strong communicator with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in both a team environment and independently with limited direction.

Major Position Accountabilities:

  • Assists in the management of the information and communications systems function of the organization including systems configuration, networks and network design, and servers and systems operations
  • Implements additions, deletions, and major modifications to the company’ s infrastructure
  • Manages infrastructure troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery
  • Designs security infrastructure from the datacenter to the edge, including mobile device security
  • Tracks and documents client problems, requests, and the actions performed while using helpdesk tools

What the company will expect from you:

  • 3 to 5 years of recent experience in delivering a primarily virtualized business infrastructure
  • University Degree in IT/ICT
  • MCSE – Server Infrastructure and/or Messaging and/or Communication, VMware VCP6-DCV, Veeam Certified Engineer
  • Previous CompTIA Network+/Cisco CCNA, and ITIL Foundation or ISO/IEC 27001
  • Experience coaching junior staff on enterprise grade technology, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to translate technical needs into comprehensive project documents and plans
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in both a team environment and independently with limited direction
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a high paced environment
  • Willing to assist with interdepartmental tasks and go out into the field in support of better understanding of business challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
