Our client, a Quebec company renowned internationally in its sector of activity, is currently looking for a dynamic, independent person who has the sense of leadership to fill the position of Logistics Coordinator. A job opportunity with good professional stability within an SME constantly in innovation.
Reporting to the Director of Logistics and Distribution, the Logistics Coordinator is primarily responsible for road transportation.
Tasks:
– Process transport price requests
– Find the best rates to deliver customer orders by Kuebix, TMSOmega, rate charters, broker or carrier
– Assess the cubing of orders to assess the linear foot required for shipping if less than 8,000 pounds
– Send requests for cubing over 8,000 pounds to shipment
– Make external price requests
– Reserve the carriers once the goods have been prepared
– Coordinate communications between customer service, shipping and carrier
– Create warehouse orders (Seko, Grainger, Echo, Unysson)
– Coordinate warehouse RMA
– Manage claims with carriers for lost or broken goods in transport
– Perform other related tasks
Required qualifications:
– College diploma or related field would be an asset
– At least 3 years of ground transportation experience
– Fluently bilingual (English, French)
– Good knowledge of transportation and import laws in Canada and the United States
– Proficient in Windows Excel, Outlook environment
