Job description: Position: Logistics / Customs Coordinator
Location: Montreal

Our client, a manufacturer of sewing and trim products, is looking for a Logistics and Customs Coordinator.

What we offer:

– $65K to $70K per year
– 2 to 3 weeks of vacation
– 5 personal days
– Medical, dental
– RRSP matching 1% until 3% eventually

Your profile:

– Bilingualism (French and English)
– College Degree
– 3 to 5 years related experience
– Knowledge of Worldwide ports, airports and routing options
– A certificate from recognized Logistics accredited program
– Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
– Organized, detail oriented, computer savvy, team player
– Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines

Your role:

– Book international air, ocean, and road transportation services at lowest cost
– Work with freight forwarders and other service providers to optimize inbound and outbound shipments
– Oversee Canadian and US customs related activities
– Ensure custom compliance with Canadian and USA customs regulations
– Verify custom entries (tariff classification, origin determination, etc.)
– Handle USMCA management
– Approve transport and custom broker invoices
– Provide support to co-workers requiring customs knowledge
– Execute other administrative tasks and special projects
