Job Summary
Reporting to the Team Lead Media Services, the Media Services Clerk will join our team providing logistical support, advice and guidance for clients utilizing audio visual classroom and audio visual rental technology and coordination of casual staff and associated resources.
The Media Services Clerk’s key responsibilities includes the following core components:
- Coordinate audio visual related services, support, and training;
- Coordinate audio visual rental equipment, distribution, and billing;
- Maintain audio visual technology equipment and inventory databases;
- Provide equipment and staffing for physical aspects of event support;
- Clerical support duties in support of Media Service’s portfolio of services. The Media Service Clerk will need to frequently lift, move, and setup heavy equipment at indoor and outdoor venues. This position coordinates and moves equipment throughout various buildings on campus.
This position may require working weekly shifts, including but not limited to M-F 8-4, 9-5, 10-6, 11-7, etc., depending on operational requirements which change throughout the year.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have high school graduation supplemented with knowledge of media systems and modern classroom audio visual technology, and a background with digital media or audio-visual related work experience. Candidates should have a minimum of one year experience working in an audio visual support related position for a Canadian post secondary organization.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Skills/abilities:
- Must have demonstrated working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows computers and experience using MS Office, digital media presentation software, and experience performing web site content updates.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to troubleshoot audio visual issues in view of small to large classrooms full of faculty, staff and/or students.
Experience developing training videos and written process documentation will be considered a strong asset.
Proof of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Driver’s Abstract) must be provided.
