YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Part-Time Bookkeeper, you are the point person for managing office flow. You will be responsible for ensuring the firm is operating at peak efficiency by managing and maintaining all financial data and transactional records. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Managing all operational bookkeeping aspects related to planning, directing, and controlling financials. This includes sending out invoices to clients and overseeing billing processes, receiving and entering receipts and vendor bills, entering employee timesheets, carrying out monthly bank and credit cards reconciliations, and other tasks as required.

Managing our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable books to ensure all information is accurate and up to date, conducting collection calls when necessary and making payments per payment schedules.

Overseeing and managing general ledger to ensure accurate information and records.

Producing financial reports for leadership by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.

Collecting employee time sheets when necessary and processing bi-weekly payroll for our team.

Perform other bookkeeping duties as required.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary credential in Bookkeeping/Accounting, or a related discipline; OR 2 years’ experience in a related position.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).

Exceptional organizational and time management skills (you take pride in having a Type A personality!).

Relentless attention to detail – nothing gets past you!

Confident in navigating Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and using them on a regular basis to create clear and detailed presentation documents.

Strong understanding of Bookkeeping Theory and best practices.

Ability to receive and implement feedback quickly and effectively.

NICE TO HAVES

Interest in urban planning, land development, and/or design – we are a passionate group and love learning from each other everyday!

Experience in both Public and Private Sectors is considered an asset.

Experience managing relationships with private clientele is considered an asset.

Research, data analytics, and data visualization skills is considered an asset.
