You as a Patient Food Service Supervisor will:

  • Supervise unionized personnel and/or students including determining workload and delegating assignments, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective and disciplinary actions
  • Manage and/or supervise food supply, preparation of meals, beverages, and nourishments to ensure compliance with standardized menus
  • Ensures compliance with supplies and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure standards of quality are met
  • Create an environment that protects the confidentiality of patients and staff

Is this the right role for you?

  • Diploma in Food Nutrition Management (2 year) from a recognized College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
  • Advanced Food Safety Training Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, therapeutic nutrition and education techniques
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of food purchasing, receiving and storage
