Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Safety & Well-being. The succesful candidate would lead the development of policies, corporate standards and programs to mitigate risk and drive evolution of the Rogers Safety Management System.

What you will be doing:
– Lead Rogers policy and program development, including design, content, communication plans, resources and tools;
– Lead Rogers ergonomics program, with focus on innovation, technology-based tools, and assessments;
– In partnership with Organizational Development, design and develop new training courses, learning forums, and content. Manage standardized training course offerings;
– Partner with well-being to integrate safety and well-being initiatives;
– Ensure up-to-date knowledge and insight of regulatory requirements and ensuring programs meet those requirements;
– Effectively use information captured through data systems and to provide meaningful reports on performance and recommendations for improvement to operations and to the Safety & Well-being team;
– Collaborate with the Safety & Well-being team and operations to identify programs and resources needed to support the safety and well-being of employees;
– Develop programs that are innovative and technology-based;
– Manage consultants in delivering high quality services and products, and the terms of program defined.

What you bring:
– University degree, in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant science-based degree, (a combination of education and experience will be considered);
– Seven years of experience in relevant field(s);
– CRSP is an asset;
– Experience with safety management systems;
– Strong knowledge and experience in technical safety and ergonomics;
– Experience effectively managing projects from planning to implementation and evaluation;
– Strong aptitude for developing relationships and influencing stakeholders;
– Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills;
– Travel 10-20%
