Job Description
BBA is seeking a client-focused, adaptable and meticulous candidate to support our technical teams in preparing project documents and correspondence as well as updating project files. The role of Project Assistant consists mainly of editing content. Working closely with our engineers and technicians, the incumbent will be required to proofread and revise technical documents.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Revising documents, such as specifications, plans, reports and proposals
- Ensuring the accuracy of cost tables
- Formatting various documents
- Gathering and completing the information necessary to prepare documents for various projects
- Occasionally collaborating in office administration and carrying out the following tasks:
- Answer general telephone calls
- Receive employee requests and, where necessary, refer employees to the appropriate resource
- Organize meetings
- Make travel reservations, where necessary
- Provide reception coverage when required
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position (in a range of fields) or any other combination of relevant education and experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously
- Strong organizational ability and high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to learn on the fly, adapt to varying situations and have the desire to achieve results
- Collaborative team player who is able to maintain positive peer relationships and work across departments and disciplines
- Asset: Experience in consulting engineering or any other professional service
