What will your typical day look like?

The Global Finance organization is currently seeking a Strategic Finance IT Business Partner. The Strategic Finance IT Business Partner role requires a combination of management experience in strategic, financial, and operational aspects of organizations with a focus on
flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to play an active role in supporting technology strategic initiatives. It is anticipated that to be appropriately successful, a Strategic Finance IT Business Partner would be of either an experienced Senior Manager or a Director grade.

As a trusted advisor, the role requires a highly-resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical skills and communication (oral and written) skills providing strategic advice to improve the daily management of the
organization and also assist in the execution of various special projects which have the potential to significantly impact the organization.

The role will include:

  • Translate the implications of emerging technologies into the overall financial plans
  • Lead the development and management of a comprehensive budget and resource plan for multiple sub-channels of the technology organization
  • Provide business operations leadership through guidance and counsel to the senior leaders around strategic financial decisions involving investment in projects and resources as well as seamless support and insights related to ongoing operations
  • Lead / influence the development of business standards and decisions regarding changes to process and organization
  • Manage the sub-channels portfolio of technology assets by assessment of benefit, risks and costs in the context of the business strategy
  • Provide leadership, influence change and drive the overall definition and execution of cross-channel initiatives
  • Identify new initiatives and programs and ensure alignment of an integrated technology strategy with cross-group strategic business goals and priorities
  • Act as an advisor to the Strategic Finance Director, planning and directing all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the related sub-channel
  • Represent the Strategic Finance Director in relevant meetings, discussions, and conference calls
  • Coordinates within the Strategic Finance team and other required input providers to deliver on strategic and operational activities
  • Promote effective teamwork and manage the resolution of interpersonal issues
  • Drive initiatives to proactively support knowledge sharing within technology, businesses and Deloitte-wide leadership teams

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience .
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience in multiple business, financial, and technical processes
  • Ability to find simple answers to complex questions or problems. Thinking outside the box. Uses
  • Knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers.
  • Leadership experience in managing large cross-functional teams that may not directly report to them and the flexibility to frequently influence people at a variety of levels internally and externally
  • Ability to be a strong project leader, people manager and solution provider who has a high attention to detail and is action oriented.
  • Strategic, creative thinking with good business judgment who can generate possible solutions and options to achieve business goals
  • Ability to be a strong communicator and good listener, with ability to craft clear and effective messages bothorally and in writing
  • Proven financial reporting and budget & forecasting management experience for a significant area
  • A good understanding of the nature and dynamics of technology and opportunities globally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to be responsive and client-service focused
  • An understanding of the DTTL organizational structure and matrixed interactions between global and local member firm management and processes
  • Ability to be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively and can navigate a complex organization that is spread across the globeAbility to build and maintain strong relationships across various stakeholder groups within the Deloitte network
