Teaching Assistant Position – AGRI 215

To be eligible for a Teaching Assistant position, candidates must be registered McGill University Graduate Students​.

Position Summary:
Attendance at 10 field trips/ labs on Friday – most to be in person, maybe 3 virtual in November, correction of journals on the farm visits from the students, aiding students in understanding the agricultural systems they are observing.

Qualifications:

Preference for someone who knows Quebec and Ontario agriculture, useful if bilingual but not necessary, is available for all field trips virtual or in person Friday afternoons from Sept to the end of November inclusive, there may be some correcting on the weekends.

Language requirement:

English and able to read French

Please note that given the resumption of most in-person teaching activities, Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person. Should government restrictions prohibit the resumption of in-person teaching activities, courses will revert to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill MyCourses learning management system.

Hourly Salary: $33.03
