Job title: Sales Rep Construction
Job description: The primary role of the Sales Rep Construction is to maintain and grow HVAC equipment and BAS sales within a
defined customer base (construction general contractors, consultants and engineers) in a geographical territory that includes Hamilton to London along the Highway 401 corridor. This role is required to develop sales strategies to meet objectives.
How you will do it
Establish contacts with prospects and prioritize/qualify potential
Schedule sales calls and follow up on leads, utilizing company established marketing strategies.
Determine customer needs and develop a strategy to gain customer understanding of company products.
Price and quote physical HVAC systems as well as retrofit work.
Close sufficient sales to exceed plan objectives.
Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. in order to generate leads for prospective customers.
Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up
for the successful closing of a sale.
Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact in pursuit of follow-up sales.
Report progress and supply metrics to operations and corporate teams on a weekly and monthly basis.
Assume responsibility, including the provision and/or coordination of services
(installation, customer training, etc.) to assure complete customer satisfaction.
Participate in trade shows, special product demonstrations and other events with the objective of
increasing sales and enhancing the company’s image.
Build partnering relationships with the owner construction community responsible for the
decision-making process to drive the sale of Johnson Control
Actively listen, probe and identify concerns. Understand the customer’s business cycle customer base.
Demonstrate technical and business expertise and maintains a high level of credibility.
Garners loyalty, trust and commitment from the customer.
What we look for
Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in business, engineering, or related discipline required.
A minimum of one year of successful field sales experience.
At least one year successfully selling HVAC systems.
Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business.
Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.
