Job title: General Manager, People and Communications
Job description: The TNRD is seeking an innovative, knowledgeable and experienced leader to guide the organization in progressive and effective people and communication practices. Reporting to the CAO and participating as an active member of the senior leadership team, the General Manager (GM) is accountable for providing strategic direction in all aspects of human resource functions and effective internal and external communications to achieve and sustain a positive organizational culture and open and transparent communications.
In addition to acting in a direct advisory capacity to the CAO on all matters related to organizational culture, engagement, relationships and internal/external communications, the GM utilizes exceptional skills gained at a leadership level to enhance the people and communication practices in the organization. To be successful in this role, you must have worked as a senior HR leader for at least 10 years, ideally in a local government or public sector environment. You must have demonstrated knowledge in the areas of human resources such as labour and employee relations, recruitment, etc. Ideally, you have a strong technical background as well as HRIS and ATS system administration expertise, as well as a solid foundation in Payroll.
