Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Operate equipment while maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings
- Grease and check oil and fluids for all equipment
- Perform traffic control duties when needed
- Sweeping sidewalks
- Shoveling/raking
- All other duties as required
Qualifications
- Road construction experience in a municipal setting is considered an asset
- Ability to understand survey layout and grade sheets is considered an asset
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience operating a Skid Steer at a finish operator capacity
- Experience with cat controls is an asset
- Capable of operating multiple pieces of equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Knowledge of base construction methods, road construction materials, heavy equipment operation and industry requirements.
- Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
- Must comply with Drug, Alcohol, and Fitness testing requirements.
- Availability to work both out-of-town and remote locations.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
