A very well-established construction firm in Montreal is seeking a Project Manager to manage commercial, industrial, and major renovation projects within the Greater Montreal region and surroundings. This project management role is open due to a retirement, and the new employee will be taking on a large portfolio of very reputable and high-value projects in the multi-millions.
This role offers a very dynamic working environment with the opportunity to interface with clients for full scope project management, working on complex and interesting construction projects. It will include ground up construction from the foundation to the roof and some major interior renovations. The role also entails working with timelines, schedules, and managing all the subtrades.
Requirements:
– At least 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role managing commercial construction projects, including estimation, evaluation, and selection of subtrades to manage / coordinate the full scope of projects
– Fluency in French and English, oral and written, to professionally communicate with clients in both languages
– Recent relevant working experience within the Quebec region and familiarity with local construction, safety regulations, and building codes
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and working with deadlines
– Strong interpersonal skills to work with different personalities and effectively communicate with internal and external clients, at all levels of the organization
– Education in either Project Management or Civil Engineering or related field is considered an asset, but professional working experience will be taking into consideration
