Job title: Project/ Safety Administrator
Job description: Axis Vac and HDD is seeking safety- driven, reliable candidates to join our staff. We are currently seeking a Project/ Safety Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Have a understanding of projects, costing, telecommunications
Be able to multi- task and be able to work as a team member to ensure jobs are completed properly and safely.
Office duties will include ability to call in locates (One- Call), permits, maintain statistics, read maps and as- builts, and other project administrative duties as required.
Ensure the implementation of Axis Vac and HDD Safety Management System (Energy Safety Canada- COR)
Implement, coach, inform and enforce safety policies / procedures through regular site visits, safety meetings and 2 way communication
Assess compliance with the applicable safety codes, procedures, relevant documentation, and commitments.
Perform site inspections, audits and assist with investigations.
Successfully contribute to ensuring regular site inspections, coaching, and development of a valued safety culture.
Ensure all employees and site workers have required certifications.
Ensure compliance and updates of safety policy are done on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications:
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), Occupational Health & Safety Certificate, Health and Safety Administrator (HSA) other industry recognized training, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Valid Class 5 License with a clean abstract
Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Acts, Regulations and Codes and how it pertains to Axis Vac job sites
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and ability to use other programs
Self starter, ability to work unsupervised, but still complete all tasks.
Fiber optics and telecommunications experience is an asset, but not required.
