GREENSKEEPER

Up to 6 Casual Positions

The Cedar Hill Golf Course is seeking up to 6 casual status Greenskeepers to join our grounds team. The successful candidates will be required to operate and maintain golf course equipment, specifically tractors, triplex and green mowers as well as assist in the maintenance of golf course areas such as shrub beds, waterways, trees, flower beds and lawn turf and rough areas.

Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent; six months, full time previous experience in golf course maintenance and/or construction as a labourer and a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence. The successful candidates will have a solid understanding of the rules of golf and how they relate to course maintenance along with sufficient health, physical condition, strength, stamina and coordination to permit performance of work.

The successful candidate will work varying shifts including early mornings, weekends and holidays and be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. (hours/shifts are subject to change and vary seasonally).

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $29.25 plus 13% in lieu of benefits. Job description and competition information can be found at .
