Aramark Canada is currently seeking a Cook to join the Saint Mary’s Dining Services team! Reporting to the Retail Manager or their designate, the Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving a variety of foods to students, faculty and staff at the Student Union Building!

Job Responsibilities

• Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
• Prep and cooks required items in accordance with menu, using grill, ovens, and fryers
• Serve food on the line, replenishing when necessary
• Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
• Assists with culinary auditing, temperature checking of food items within kitchen, stations, fridge’s and freezers
• Adherence to Aramark’s policies and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety
• Provide support and guidance to Food Service Workers with regards to culinary technique and best practice
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years prep cook, grill cook, line cook experience
• Working toward Red Seal considered an asset
• Valid WHMIS, Food Safe Advanced Certification, First Aid Certification considered an asset
• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently, supervised and unsupervised
• Must be able to lift, push, pull min. 35 lbs
• Must be flexible, evening and weekend work may be required
