Job Description:

2D is an in-patient Mental Health unit that supports the recovery of the acutely ill patient. The Mental Health Team is committed to delivering the highest quality of care in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing and preferably hold a Baccalaureate degree
• Current certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Mental Health
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and well under pressure within time constraints and effectively within a multi-disciplinary framework.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
• Demonstrated excellent communication, facilitation, critical-thinking and conflict resolution
• Skills
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal; skills with the ability to work collaboratively will all members of the team
• Ability to provide leadership to projects and accomplished goals
• Commitment to the vision and goals of the Mental Health Program
• Positive attendance and work record
