They are seeking to hire a Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing all import shipments as well as assisting on outbound shipments when the need arises.
Tasks:
– Coordinate merchandise imports with 3PL teams and suppliers in North America.
– Help resolve logistical issues that might arise at the ports or distribution hubs.
– Deal directly with steamship lines and carriers to ensure proper tariffication.
– Stay up to date with current supply chain issues and participate in dispute resolution.
– Proactively expand carrier base through strong negotiation with a focus on reducing shipping costs.
– Carry out any other similar tasks.

Requirements:
– 1 to 2 years of professional experience in import logistics.
– Strong knowledge of international shipping.
– Proficiency with the MS Office software.
– Experience in a start-up environment.

Salary: Up to $80,000 per year
