Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all the listed general administration functions. These functions are of low complexity and the incumbent performs them using precise instructions provided by their immediate supervisor or other team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hosts virtual and in-person campus tours (training will be provided).
- Greets students and answers general inquiries about the University (programs, student life, community engagement, living in Montreal, etc.) with a positive attitude.
- In collaboration with McGill Recruitment Associates, shares their student experience, and answers questions from prospective students, their families, guidance counselors, and alumni during webinars, virtual events and in-person events.
- Participates in social media campaigns and events (ex. Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube).
- Supports other recruitment activities and events, as needed, such as answering the phone, responding to e-mails, and assisting in various administrative tasks, helping with the setting up and removal of signs, equipment, etc. during on-campus events.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Undergraduate student currently enrolled at McGill in Arts, Education, Engineering, Management, Music, Nursing or Science are welcome. General knowledge of the downtown campus and student life. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills – must be outgoing, willing to engage and initiate conversations with students and their families / able to adapt quickly to situations (ex: construction on campus). Extremely reliable and punctual. Involvement in the McGill community (clubs, services, athletics or other university activities) an asset. Customer service and social media experience an asset. Additional languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin) an asset. Work study applicants must provide proof of program acceptance.
Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma
Hourly Salary: (AMUSE A) $15.00
