Job Overview:
The Construction Coordinator supports the production side of the business through coordination of a complex variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
Review key dates with our Sales, Construction and Trade Teams.
Review, update & understand construction plans.
Working with our Field Team to schedule trade partners from stakeout throughout to home completion.
Plan and execute projects from start to finish, on time and on budget.
Track and monitor requests from Customers, Field Team & Trades.
Act as a liason in the office between Construction, Sales and Trade Partners.
Assisting with database administration & database input.
Submission of documents to the City, to Trade Partners and to Field Team members.
Preparation of bids and quotes, submissions of purchase orders for jobs.
Preparation of new build packages for different stakeholders in the construction process.
Skills Required:
Effective time management skills, top-notch analytical skills and ability to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
Technical knowledge of the Residential Construction Industry.
Courses in Building Science & Building Code are a big asset.
A background in Construction Administration, Drafting, and/or Project Management.
Skillful in the usage of Microsoft Excel, MS Project, Microsoft Suite, etc.
Advanced proficiency with technology and ability to pick up new tech with ease.
Proficiency in reviewing building drawings is highly desirable.
Works well in a team or independently.
Excellent communication and written email skills.
Team attitude and willingness to take on jobs.
Experience with Homefront (Precision Builder) and BuildPro is an asset.
Previous hands-on construction such as framing, concrete form work, renovation work, etc. is an asset.
A relevant degree from a construction related school background is an asset, for example Construction Engineering Technology (C.E.T.).
