Calstone Search is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (Mining & Construction) to assist a local client in Timmins, ON. Our client offers a wide range of services to meet client needs around Northern Ontario. Whether it be transportation of ore, complex loads and food, rail services, crushing and screening, road construction and maintenance, pipe fusing, waste disposal, spill remediation, and aerial surveying, they can help with any task, large or small.
Being client-focused, our client is seeking a Project Coordinator who has proven knowledge of construction technology, documentation, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures. They will require a solid understanding of construction sites and a motivated individual who can participate in planning/executing construction schedules, milestones, budgets, and safety.
Reporting to the management team, the Project Coordinator will be successful in our client’s dynamic environment if they have 2+ years of field experience, a strong knowledge of construction site operations, and the ability to ensure that the company and client’s safety policies/procedures are always being adhered to while simultaneously holding the project team accountable. The Project Coordinator’s high standards of safety and training will ensure that the client is satisfied with their services and products while also meeting employee health and wellness needs.

Responsibilities:
- Work with project teams on sites and from the office.
- Participate in planning/executing construction schedules, milestones, budgets, and safety.
- Ensure all drawings/specifications/SOW is adhered to and communicated with the project team.
- Participate in ensuring the proper execution of projects and resources.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures/standards and complying with legal regulations.
- Ensure company and client safety policies/procedures are always being adhered to while holding the project team accountable.
- Liaise effectively with Management, Supervisors, Subcontractors, Engineers/Consultants, and client’s representatives.
- Develop and execute project work plans with the Management team.
- Track daily activities, progress records, and changes/extras, and participate in preparing invoices.
- Compile reports as required for the project to be distributed internally or to the client.
- Participate in training updates as required to meet project requirements.
- Compile and prepare monthly invoices.
- Prepare monthly internal progress reports and tracking deliverables.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of project coordination in the construction industry or similar.
- Ability to work 50 hours a week.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Pre-employment drug screening will be required upon hire.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (some after-hours work may be required)
Pay Rate: $40-$50 per hour commensurate on prior experience
