Job description: About the Role:

Currently, we are seeking qualified and motivated Lead Construction Miners to join our growing team in Dubreuilville, Ontario. The individuals selected for these positions will be required to lead a full range of underground construction services while working according to work procedures and company policies and ensuring efficient operations within a safety conscious environment. The key responsibilities will be to lead a small underground construction crew to complete various underground construction activities including:

• Build form work, install rebar, and place concrete
• Install structural steel
• Complete installation of ground support and rock dowels
• Installation of various mechanical equipment – overhead cranes, gates, hydraulics, fans, doors, etc.
• Operating a jackleg, stopper, air tuggers, moving hoist and other underground mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissor trucks and utility vehicles
• Inspecting work headings and construction for compliance to code, regulations, and standards and reporting any deficiencies or unsafe condition

Qualifications

• Must have Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, U0011 & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
• Must have Specialty module U0085a, b, and c
• Experience in welding and fabrication is considered an asset.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years in underground construction with minimum 2 years in a leader position
• Demonstrated experience with maintenance and installation of grizzlies, chutes, feeders, non-electrical mine services etc. would be an asset
• Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
• Must be willing to work at any of the underground mine sites that Technica operates at

Candidates must undergo pre-employment testing and background check as a condition of employment.
