We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Buildings division and deliver innovative projects in the healthcare, education, hospitality, recreational, entertainment, retail, commercial office, mixed-use, multi-family residential and light industrial sectors. The Estimator reports directly to the Estimating Manager in our Buildings- Shared Services group and will be responsible for performing all facets of a commercial works estimate including quantities, costing and sub-trade analysis for presentation and final review of major items. This position will direct the work activities of other Estimators as required.

Terms of employment: Full time & permanent

Location of Work: Calgary, Alberta

Salary range: $80,800 – $101,000 a year

As an Estimator at Graham your responsibilities will include:

• Be responsible for all aspects of the Tendering Process, including take offs.
• Adapt toward estimating building construction on a project basis
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work including scheduling and project planning
• Develop detailed knowledge of market labour and equipment rates
• Prepare detailed estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work
• Prepare final estimate summaries, analyzing each section for scope, pricing and completeness
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current and accurate information on prices from suppliers
• Share Graham’s values about teamwork, safety, productivity and quality
• Support continuous improvement through internal and external partnerships built on Graham’s motto of commitment, integrity and reliability.

Qualifications/Experience required:

• Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in estimation.
• Experience related to commercial/building and/or small civil estimating projects.
• Experience using estimating systems is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary $80,800 – $101,000 a year with annual bonus potential, annual salary adjustment potential, and ownership opportunities to be awarded at the company’s discretion
