BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute is seeking a Project Manager to join our team!
The Digital Health Research Initiative at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) builds capacity and set priorities for digital health research at BCCHR.
Our initiatives are:
- Improve healthcare and healthcare experience, of children and families in BC through the implementation of digital health research and innovation
- Support researchers in accelerating the clinical implementation of digital health research projects
- Engage patients and families as co-creators in all phases of digital health research (design, test, implement, scale)
- Engage clinical, operational, and leadership stakeholders in digital health research, enhancing the visibility and raise the profile of digital health research among these groups
- Develop, implement, and sustain digital health innovations at BC Children’s’ Hospital
The Project Manager will report to the Digital Health Lead and the BCCHR’s Digital Health Steering Committee with a key focus on the following:
- Work closely with the Digital Health Research Steering Committee, which provides leadership and advice on Digital Health priorities and activities to all members of the BCCHR.
- Interact with investigators at BCCHR and partner institutes including the Women’s Health Research Institute, clinical departments at the Children’s and Women’s Hospitals, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in the digital health community and ecosystem in BC and beyond, helping to grow industry partnerships and position BCCHR as a thought leader in digital health innovation.
- Create momentum and excitement around digital health within the hospital and health system by shepherding projects towards success, resulting in case studies of how digital health research can successfully be implemented clinically and have an impact on patients and families, while also having clinical and operational impact.
What you bring
- Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline
- Minimum of five (5) year’s recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- Project Management Professional designation considered an asset.
You will have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.
- Experience or working knowledge of content areas is key to the success of this role.
- Effectively monitors budgets and executes project plans with stringent timelines.
- Utilizes initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
