Job description: Staffmax is assisting our client in Thunder Bay Ontario with finding a qualified individual for a Regional Manager role.

Pay $110,000- $120,000 per year + Pension and RRSP

Travel within Northern Ontario is a must by car and air – 30% of your time

Position: Regional Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Manager to lead our operational team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing operational procedures to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a team or Terminal Managers and their sites
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
• Drive continuous improvement in service quality and operational efficiency through effective measurement and analysis of key performance indicators.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve individual and team goals.
• Optimize route planning and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Proactively address customer service issues and resolve them in a timely manner to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Manage and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and manage budgets to achieve financial targets.
• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance and key metrics.
• Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Actively participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
