Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 based on experience

Det’on Cho Logistics is a Northern company focused on supply chain and human Logistics primarily for the resource sector.

We are establishing an Operations Control (OCC) Centre that will serve as the internal and external communications hub for our company. Some of the core duties of the OCC will be to coordinate the booking and tracking of flights, priority freight movement, load preparation, manifesting, and reporting. We are seeking an experienced logistics leader who is passionate about customer service delivery to oversee this new department. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will play a key role in helping to drive our continued growth by providing the highest-level service to internal and external customers while promoting continuous improvement and a positive team environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will take an active role in client — vendor — employee relations, support, and service delivery. The Manager, OCC requires a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in logistics and customer service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the OCC and maintain a close connection to the daily operation and the needs of clients and vendors.
  • Promote a safety-first culture as a core foundation of the department.
  • Provide effective leadership within the OCC, promoting all corporate and operational objectives.
  • Maintain oversight of OCC employees’ responsibilities, insuring the proper and consistent execution of their assigned duties.
  • Ensure the OCC team monitors performance daily and provides status updates and reports to leadership and the operations teams as required.
  • Identify and manage potential and actual operational issues and risks and take corrective action by managing day-to-day issues and following problems through to resolution.
  • Provide hands-on support as required to maintain proficiency and consistency in all areas.
  • Ensure information is relayed to all internal and external parties regarding all irregular and unplanned situations that may arise and impact the delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain an organized, structured and welcoming OCC work environment.
  • Assist with management and coordination of all OCC areas, insuring they are functioning as one with communication.
  • Support the recruitment process and the hiring of OCC personnel.
  • Deliver consistent and effective coaching, counseling and discipline of OCC personnel.
  • Maintain timely and accurate invoicing, expenses and payroll approvals.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained at all times.
