Sovereign is looking for an experienced Training & Documentation Consultant to support the modernization of underwriting capabilities and promote company efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication skills and can effectively partner with content owners to design guides, manuals, or resource materials. Leveraging adult learning best practices to design and deliver training in person, online, or on demand. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build our training practice and enable our underwriting team to succeed.
How you will create impact:
Partnering with leaders, project and change management teams to analyze and interpret training needs; determining learning program elements and creating the delivery strategy to meet those needs.
Working with content Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the technical content, developing and maintaining resource materials, videos, or summaries; including user guides, job aids, and manuals related to underwriting systems or guidelines.
Developing and delivering training nationally via classroom, video on-demand, or web-based sessions.
Monitoring and tracking training effectiveness and continually look for new ways to maximize learning outcomes.
Providing ongoing client support for business applications, projects and implementations.

To join our team:
5 years of professional experience in a learning and development role, with success in designing, developing, implementing, and facilitating learning programs of varying scales.
5 years of professional experience in adult training and development plus knowledge of organizational development and change management practices.
Commercial Insurance industry knowledge / experience is an asset.
Post-secondary Education (certificate or diploma) in instructional design and adult learning concepts is preferred, although equivalent experience in an insurance-related training role, will be considered.
Experience in applying instructional methodology to design and develop learning programs for in class, online and blended delivery mediums. Demonstrated skill in training needs analysis and training evaluation methods. Proficient in Microsoft Office and e-learning tools. * Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), content design software, and other learning and development technologies, with an openness to explore and learn new technologies an asset.
- This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
