Job description: Reporting to site supervision, the role of Tool Crib Attendant will be expected to start on May 2, 2021 and last approximately 10 days. This position will perform general plant maintenance/turnaround work/furnace work/emergency repair at our client’s facility located at Joffre/Fort Mckay/ Fort McMurray/Conklin.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrated Inventory Management skills will be considered an asset
- Organize tool crib and materials
- Maintain current inventory list
- Perform preventative maintenance on all tools (eg: oil air tools)
- Repair and replace damaged tools
- Receive and organize material for maintenance work as per Bill of Materials (BOM) and notify end user of delivery
- Strong knowledge of piping materials – gaskets, fittings, valves and associated materials
- A strong understanding of the Warehouse delivery system and who to contact if there are discrepancies
- Maintain logs for the following: Tools in & out & returns, test pressure gauges, air monitoring equipment, fall protection equipment, MERT-cart inventory, spill cart
inventory, consumables, nut and bolt bins and additional as required
- Willing to work with Maintenance crew when needed as a safety watch and laborer
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High commitment to safety – his / her, own and others
- Must have good mechanical skills
- Must be self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Maintain relations with customer and co-workers through effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Good housekeeping skills
- Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime as per request
- Proficient computer skills are required (Windows, MS Word, Excel) – willing to receive training in SAP
- Must possess a valid Alberta driver’s license
- Focal point for consumable material management, ensuring material is site approved
- Must be physically fit (i.e. position requires lifting / standing and climbing)
- Willing / able to take additional training as required (safety /excavation watch)
- Willing to work as a Safety Watch as required
- Previous experience working with Joffre Site Safety Procedures and Maintenance Safe Work Requirements is considered an asset
