Job description: Cube Construction Inc. is a general contractor specializing in office/retail leasehold improvements, searching for a polyvalent and reliable site superintendant and carpenter to join its dynamic and professional team.

Annual salary from $70,000 (to be discussed based on the candidate’s experience), with possibility of a vehicle for a candidate residing in the Montreal area.

The site superintendent would manage projects of various durations (most projects are completed within 3 months), and an individual that loves new challenges and change would feel at ease in this type of environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
– Carry out finishing carpentry work and repairs as required
– Coordinate work schedule with employees and subtrades
– Supervise construction to ensure compliance to high quality standards
– Ensure the project schedule and budget are respected. Notify of any changes that may affect the schedule and/or budget, recommend and enforce corrective measures
– Ensure the work site is safe and clean at all times
– Complete and manage documentation on-site (plans, permits, timesheets, delivery slips, project reports, etc.)

The candidate must be:
– handy and not afraid to get his hands dirty
– able to follow instructions, prioritize and organize
– conscientious to details and reliable
– serious and hardworking
– available, if/when required by a particular project, to work at night or weekend

Requirements

• Asset – CCQ card (carpentry)
• Essential – ASP security card
• Important – Billingual (French-English)
• Important – 3-year experience in construction site supervision
