Accounting Data/technician
Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Accounting Data Technician. This is a full time position with weekends required.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, have great attention to detail and be a team player.
The Accounting department is responsible for all Resort level accounting. In addition to the core operations of ski and golf, the resorts also operate businesses including restaurants, bars, retail shops, equipment rental, ski school etc.

Key Responsibilities
Cash Audit – reconcile cash outs and sales from all departments.
Prepare daily deposit
Prepare, issue, collect and balance departmental floats.
Accounts Payable – Receive vendor invoices and forward to appropriate department, review GL codes, combine invoices and send to Calgary for processing twice a week.
Accounts Receivable – create, print and distribute receivable invoices, process payments for outstanding accounts and contact customers for outstanding balances.
General Accounting duties such as filing, helping departments with solving cash out issues, working with a variety of POS systems, Moneris.
Other duties in administration as assigned
Multi tasking and working with a variety of departments and acting requirements at the same time.
Qualifications
Good interpersonal skills
Computer skills including a strong knowledge of Excel, Sage Accounting programs, Word, Windows, Outlook
Organizational and problem solving skills
Attention to detail is important
Commitment to job and self motivated
Excellent time management skills
Accuracy and professionalism
Cash handling experience.
General accounting experience an asset
AR experience an asset
AP experience an asset
Conditions:
Normal office hours from Thursday to Monday, office hours in summer and winter change
working holidays and weekends can be expected during busy times
32 to 40 hours per week, exception is May, October, November
