Job description: Bird Stairs is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to fill the role of Administrative Support. Administrative supportduties primarily consist of daily cash reconciliation and the processing of customer invoices. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and be able to perform under the supervision of the Branch Manager and Head Office staff.
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining records of invoice payments
- Responding to customer accounts receivable inquiries
- Performing accurate data entry
- Processing customer payments by accurately recording cash, cheque and credit card transactions
- Performing general office duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, emailing, and phone calls
- Balancing and maintaining cash receipts journal
- Closing batches
- Ensuring that settlements are received and balanced
- Invoices are matched with sales orders and properly filed
- Making bank deposits
- Additional ad-hoc duties as required
Qualifications:
- Experience preferred in Accounts Receivable or a similar role would be an asset
- High attention to detail and organization, honesty and discretion are imperative for this position
- Must be bondable
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively under conditions with frequent interruptions and pressure of meeting deadlines
- Problem solving skills
- Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and high regard for customer service in person and on the phone
- Reliable with previous good attendance record
- Computer literate, flexible and a quick learner
- Microsoft Office & accounting systems (SYSPRO experience would be an asset)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
