The Stollery Patient and Family Centred Care team has an exciting new opportunity as the Administrative Support III – Family Space Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience for Stollery families using the new Family Lounges and other family spaces in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). The Family Space Coordinator (FSC) is responsible for a wide range of activities, helping to ensure the smooth, compassionate delivery of services to all visitors to these family spaces. Duties and responsibilities (may differ based on changing COVID19 protocols): Guest Support – Supporting visitors to family lounges and other areas such as laundry and sleep spaces. This includes family space orientation, nutrition program, wayfinding, connecting with peer support, family lounge activities and ensuring family spaces are utilized in accordance with visitation, infection control and other guidelines. Includes responsibility for updating information for families such as digital screens, pamphlets etc. Volunteer Coordination – Collaborate with volunteer services to developing a family space volunteer program. Includes developing volunteer job descriptions, duties and training/orientation plan, training, scheduling, and supporting new volunteers. Family Space Operations – All duties to ensure family spaces are kept clean and tidy, completing cleaning and sanitizing between visitors, liaising with service providers etc. Also responsible for dealing with any concerns and escalating these as required. Administrative duties – The FSC will perform a range of administrative duties including ordering supplies, tracking expenses, tracking guest access etc. Other additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum certificate/diploma level education in human or social services field, business or medical administration, program management or related education. Must have experience working in a client/family- facing role that demonstrates the ability to support families from a diverse range of backgrounds. Must have a warm, compassionate nature with excellent empathetic listening and communication skills. Must have excellent administrative skills including Microsoft Office suite, ability to use or learn a variety of communication and volunteer management software. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize duties and collaborate with numerous Stollery teams. This role will primarily work out of the Stollery NICU, PICU and PCICU family spaces and related office space. Incumbent must be comfortable working within an ICU environment. Position will require standing and walking for extended periods and lifting and carrying supplies up to 10lbs. A combination of education and experience may be considered however candidate must have experience working in a client/family facing position that demonstrates ability to support a diverse range of families in a compassionate and empathetic manner. Preferred Qualifications:

Hospital experience is considered an asset. BLS training. Non-violent Crisis Intervention training. Training or education in Indigenous awareness and/or cultural competency considered an asset.
