Job description: The department of Alumni Affairs & Development (AA&D) is a central service at the University of Guelph, accountable for raising money for the institution’s strategic priorities through the identification and alignment of donors and prospective donors. The division has recently undergone a re-organization to support the vision to attract $50-million in sustained annual philanthropic support (over a five to eight-year period) and to be one of Canada’s most sought-after advancement organizations. This role is essential to work with all key stakeholders to ensure we are providing digital solutions to meet the core vision of the department.
Working with-in our CRM system and internet solutions (Blackbaud CRM, BBIS), this role ensures that front-end users, including our external constituents, can successfully create connections with the institutions including donation management, crowdfunding, peer to peer fundraising, tribute giving, event registration and information updates.

In addition, this role ensures data integrity via API connections between on-premise and cloud based applications. Support for our cloud-based applications and the integration of data including documentation, business process, user case creation, testing, business analysis and task analysis is required. This role requires the ability to analyze and critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and deconstructing high-level information into details

Our core web platform, Drupal 7x/9x, is critical for ensuring our constituents can safely navigate and locate information that is secure and enjoyable user experience.
This role is part of the AA&D, Information Systems team reporting into the Associate Director, IS.
Skillsets include a strong understanding of the fundraising applications in a higher education/not for profit environment; demonstrated familiarity with enterprise software packages that include Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio, Blackbaud Development (SDK). Other skills include HTML5, CSS, jquery and various CMS platform experience. This role must match technical skills with the ability to work in a team environment in a service-oriented organization; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral; experience training end users in the use of computer software applications; experience related to customer service delivery in a technical field is necessary.

Requirements for this position include: an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field and typically five to seven years’ experience as performing the role of an analyst OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
