Role:

This role will provide analytical thought leadership to develop pricing strategy recommendations. Work cross-functionally to gather required inputs to support price setting decisions, and own performance analytics and insights to drive profitability improvements. The incumbent will work collaboratively with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and field leaders to building cross-functional alignment and requires the ability to synthesize and communicate results.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support projects and development of strategies/processes that enable the organization to better use price as a strategic lever to drive business results across product categories and customer segments.
  • Approve weekly pricing changes across multiple business centers and evaluate margin impact to develop pricing optimization recommendations.
  • Proactively identify pricing opportunities and risks, develop recommendations, and implement solution with cross-functional teams and field leaders.
  • Conduct performance analytics and generate insights to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify pricing lever changes and analyze impacts to profitability, volume forecast, and customer basket.
  • Ensure data integrity and configuration accuracy in pricing system.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business alignments and ensure pricing relevancy.
  • Manage performance and monitor results to determine if the pricing strategy is working as expected.
  • Support the build and deployment of Pricing Modernization for Local Sales.
  • Create and maintain Revenue management tools and reports.
  • Analyze and report on Inflation and impact to the overall profitability impact.
  • Analyze and execute on strategies that deliver on annual sales, margin and piece goals
  • Enable, champion and embrace an inclusive culture.
  • Present oneself in a manner that demonstrates executive maturity, professionalism, trust, confidence, and integrity.
  • Communicates broadly and frequently the company’s vision, direction, goals, performance against plan, changes, and expectations through participation in department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and informal conversations with associates.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of analytical experience with knowledge in SQL, VBA, and Excel.
  • Experience in price modeling and model configurations.
  • Post secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience focused in Business, Finance, Sales.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Cognos reporting an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required.
