Corporate Operations at the BCLDB includes our Corporate Loss Prevention and Real Estate departments. Real Estate manages all activities related to the leasing, construction, renovation, and facilities management of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centres, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations. The Corporate Loss Prevention department ensures the security of all BCLDB assets through physical security management as well as an investigative team.
Reporting to the Director Real Estate, the Senior Construction Manager is responsible to direct and coordinate construction projects (from initial planning through to completion) required for the development of new and/or renovation/expansion of existing retail store, distribution and administrative facilities. The position supervises Construction Managers; assists in decision making processes affecting decisions involved in the selection of new facilities and/or the renovation or expansion of existing sites; leads/coordinates negotiations with Architects, Consultants and Construction firms in respect to issues affecting property, new store construction, expansion/ renovations of stores and renovations to distribution and administrative facilities. The position undertakes/oversees all design, construction, and commissioning activities required to make such projects operational. Â

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- A degree or diploma in a related discipline and recent five (5) yearsâ experience in managing retail construction projects. Candidates without relevant education will be considered if they possess at least 2 years of additional retail construction project management experience. •Experience supervising others.
