Job Summary:
Responsible for monitoring the daily operations of the banquet department; managing the staff and the execution of events from set up to break down; ensuring that all client needs and requests are met. Supervised and evaluated banquet servers, bartenders and other staff; oversaw staffing and scheduling.
Essential Job Functions:

Overseeing all aspects of event functions as per the event order
Anticipating guest’s needs and providing superior guest satisfaction at all times
Communicating any issues and successes with management
Coordinating with the organizer to ensure all communication is shared
Overseeing the timely and efficient delivery of food and beverage
Checking food and beverage quality and working as a team with Chefs
Handling internal and external customer feedback
Ensuring proper cash out procedures and preparing bills for customers
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Ordering and receiving all relevant supplies from the storeroom
Liaising with the kitchen and bartender to control proper timing of service
Following company procedures
Ensuring proper closing procedure is followed
Maintaining product cost according to the profit plan
Ensuring the efficient set up/tear down of events by maximizing staff deployment
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Abilities

Experience supervising banquet staff and serving guests
Impeccable guest service skills
Hands on leader with a proven track record of superior guest satisfaction
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Serving It Right certificate required
Food Safe certificate preferred
Good administrative and computer skills, e.g. POS, MS Office
Personable, friendly and outgoing
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
High energy and strong work ethic
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and shifts outside of transit hours.
If 19 yrs. of age or older you will be required to provide a positive background check that is valid within 6 months of start date.

Working Conditions

Banquet Supervisors need to be flexible in their working hours as most events and functions occur on evenings and weekends. They should be expected to work between eight to 12 hours a shift. They may be expected to arrive early in the day to take care of set up and leave late in the evening after cleaning is complete. You Must be able to work on your feet and must be able to lift 20lb+ as required.

Compensation and Benefits

$19.84/hour up to $23.20/hour plus gratuities
