Position Summary
We are currently seeking casual Community Mental Health Workers to join our team in Kamloops, BC.
The Community Mental Health Worker 2 functions as a part of the larger health care team and as a member of a specific Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multi-disciplinary specialized team whose purpose is to ensure that persons with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders have access to timely, responsive, evidence based psychosocial rehabilitation across the continuum of available services.
This position performs a variety of life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation planning, and general support duties involving clients who are living in their own housing for the assigned client population(s).
Shifts of work will be rotating days and evenings, with shift times of 12:30 to 20:30, and 08:30 to 16:30.

Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Diploma in a field relevant to the position and
- Two years recent related experience working with the assigned client population(s) experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current valid B.C. Driver’s License
