About the client and role
This is a vibrant mid-sized firm with its HQ in Toronto, comprised of diverse architectural professionals led by three experienced Principals, specialized in long-term care, senior, mental health, healthcare, retail & commercial projects. They have grown substantially since 2020 and are looking to add an experienced contract administrator to a team of three to oversee contract documentation and OBC and design compliance for projects in the SMITH FALLS and CORNWALL (Ontario, Canada) areas. Occasional visits to the Toronto office needed. Working with the Partners and Project Architects, the CCA ensures high-quality technical standards are met.
What they are looking for
- Minimum 5-7 years of Canadian experience; Architectural Technologist, PMP, or Bachelor of Architecture credentials; preference to candidates with CCCA training from the CSC or OAA registered candidates
- Must live in Ontario Canada; preference to candidates living around Ottawa, Montreal, or Kingston
- Lead and monitor medium to large projects from construction to close-out; both in the field & the office; a PDF Sheet of projects from the past 5 years, ideally HC-related, condos, or institutional projects
- Solid OBC and building science fundamentals; ability to provide design feedback and anticipate design issues to suggest substitutions that meet design specifications
- Ensure high-quality drawings and documentation to reduce rework, errors and omissions
- Exceptional trouble-shooting skills; the ability to deal with headstrong personalities, understand their needs, and solve evolving design needs that meet budget and timelines
- Working knowledge of Revit; Bluebeam, PM software such as Wrike; experience in cloud based CCA software such as Rform
- Valid G driver’s license
- Up to date COVID vaccination record
