Job title: Construction Coordinator
Job description: As per Minto policy, please note that this position is located at a Minto site where proof of full Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
Purpose:
The Construction Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Team and providing administrative support for the site office. They will be able to gain exposure to a wide variety tasks that are performed by the management team, including drawing review, budgeting, material orders, site directives, etc.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Assists in compiling and coordinating drawings and specifications in accordance with the tender documents;
- Assists in the pricing preparation of construction tender documents and specifications by subcontractors;
- Ensures all invoices have appropriate approval and coding necessary for processing, including matching invoices to purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accurate and timely disbursements;
- Ensures invoices are processed and paid on a timely basis to avoid penalties and meet commitment to pay our suppliers on a timely basis;
- Ensures documents are signed ie. cheques, contracts;
- Attends and take minutes at meeting as required;
- Maintains and organizes electronic and hard copy files;
- Consultant Drawings:
- Update trackers and upload drawings to assist with Partner Reporting.
- Review and issue revised drawings to the Site Supers and Trades.
- Update hard copies of drawings on site.
- Direction of Production, as required:
- Create and track Requests for Information.
- Write and Issue Field Work Directives and Site Directives.
- Distribute up to date home plans and drawings.
- Track, control and organize documents in various systems.
- If timing allows, preparation of a FF&E package for both Phases; create a tracker, procure quotations, place material orders, and organize delivery to site;
- Assist Team with review of Plans, Specifications, and As-Built conditions on site;
- Attend and participate in site meetings if required;
- All other duties with the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by Management.
Technical Competencies:
Education: A Post-Secondary Education is required at the University or College level (Diploma in Construction and/or Architecture is an asset).
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
- Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is an asset
