Job Description

Under the authority of the Construction Projects Director, the position holder is responsible to ensure follow-up on renovation, construction and development projects. He works on designing and planning projects, coordinates their achievement and ensures to respect deadlines and allocated budgets.

  • Order and analyze geotechnical and environmental studies
  • Follow up on the issuance of permits and authorizations with various government and municipal authorities
  • Make budget estimates and prepare tender documents for calls and meetings
  • Monitor the quality, schedule and budget of construction sites
  • Maintain required reports, identify and manage major risks
  • Make periodic project status reports
  • Ensure compliance with monitoring and control procedures
  • Check and approve shop drawings
  • Analyze and recommend progressive payments
  • Prepare descriptive documents for the required modifications
  • Check and recommend additional requests or credit offers resulting from revisions
  • Establish and follow up on the list of deficiencies
  • Make the provisional and final acceptance of the project
  • Attend site meetings and participate in problem solving related to site conditions
  • Perform all other tasks at the request of his immediate superior

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or an equivalent organisation
  • Available for travel to Ontario sites, as well as possibly Northeast USA and or to Quebec
