Job description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following: * Oversee full cycle estimating for a multitude of new build construction projects * Coordinate with sub-trades, clients / owners and third party stakeholders * Manage the bid and tender process from concept to completion * Work closely with the ownership and project management team in compiling and closing estimates * All other duties as required MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual’s status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled and all other qualified applicants The ideal candidate will possess the following: * Strong track record of working in autonomous estimating capacities with established local market ICI general contractors, overseeing commercial and industrial ground up new build project estimates up to $20M plus in scope * Excellent take-off experience across all 16 divisions for GC estimating * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Experience closing full cycle tenders in the commercial and industrial new build space * Direct experience in estimating retail builds and exterior facade / cladding projects * Strong software application skills Our client is an established general contractor dedicated to serving private sector commercial, retail and light industrial clients with their renovation and new construction needs.
