Job title: Construction Layout Surveyor
Job description: B&B Contracting is seeking an experienced Construction Layout Surveyor to join our growing company. B&B is a union-affiliated employer that puts a strong emphasis on safety and offers highly competitive compensation and benefits.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The job duties performed by the Construction Layout Surveyor include but are not limited to:
- Interpreting engineering drawings
- Providing initial site layout and ongoing monitoring
- Performing layout of subdivision roads & lots and access roads
- Performing topographic surveys of original ground, post-stripping, as-built, and stockpiles
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum of two years’ prior work experience in construction layout
- Experience with using both total stations and GPS systems
- Ability to pay close attention to details
- Access to own reliable transportation
- Post-secondary education in Survey Engineering or Civil Engineering considered an asset
