Job description: Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Occupy and operate the site COVID screening checkpoint/Health and Safety Office
- Screen all workers/visitors entering the site for COVID 19
- Take record of locations and lot numbers where all individuals are intending to visit during the day
- Ensure site hand wash station is fully operational and stocked at all times
- Ensure adequate supply of all first aid station materials and supplies at all times
- Administer inventory and distribution of all PPE supplies to staff and visitors if necessary
- Ensure all appropriate health and safety/WSIB/Ministry of Labour postings and materials are properly displayed
- Keep record of contractor health and safety policies and MSDS Sheets
- Take minutes of site safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Report any health and safety site incidents to the site superintendent and Human Resources
- Co-ordinate the ordering and managing of building materials such as lumber, and brick
- Confirm truck deliveries and material quantities once delivered
- Manage building materials on site and provide regular updated tracking reports
- Manage and track backordered materials
- Help co-ordinate the daily operation of site activities such as garbage bin exchanges, portable toilet management, fuel ordering, and road cleaning
- Help site superintendent print and produce building plans, and distribute relevant information sheets to trades
- Keep and organize delivery slips
- Order and manage gas and hydro locates
- Order and track rental equipment as needed
- Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Health and Safety training would be an asset
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must have own Personal Protective Equipment including hardhats and CSA Approved Steel toe boots
- Minimum valid G2 driver’s licence would be an asset
- Reports directly to site superintendent(s)
