Responsibilities:

– Maintain a high standard of quality, ensuring that all Rogers Technical, Construction Standards, Safety Standards and Policies are strictly adhered to.
– Installation of all associated coax/fibre equipment and cable in various engineering projects.
– Demonstrate a professional attitude and working relationship between fellow employees and contractors.
– Project Coordination, reviewing of plans, schedules, preparation of purchase orders, materials ordering and working with contractor resources including Field Inspections.
– Coordinate, schedule and monitor contractor forces where required to meet timelines.
– Ensure that project information and updates are recorded/reported to the correct parties in a timely manner to meet timelines. Reporting is to be accurate and communicated in a professional manner.
– Liaise with appropriate departments in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
– Accountable for the successes and challenges of project deliverables.
– Recognize, identify, and correct potential problems, offering viable solutions to meet targets.
– Prepare and complete concise reports.
– Understanding of Fiber splicing, testing, characterization, documentation and troubleshooting.
– Test, research and implement all new equipment, understanding of testing and processes in Network Construction, expertise in RF technology.
– Learn and adhere to all applicable Heath and Safety regulations in accordance with Legislation and all related Company Policies.

Qualifications and Competencies:

– Minimum grade 12 education, preferably post-secondary education with an electronics diploma.
– Four years CATV experience with CATV Technical Training Level III completion.
– Must be familiar with CSA and Utility Specifications.
– Effective organization and communication skills required in coordinating multiple projects.
– Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word and Excel.
– Valid Ontario drivers license.
– Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
– Able to lift 50lbs
– Working at heights: ladder/aerial device, and roof tops.
– Working hours and shifts could include maintenance window.
– Participation in the on-call Fibre Standby Rotation.
