Required Qualifications
Journeyperson Cook Certificate
Experience
Previous: Six (6) months on-the-job experience in order to become familiar with timelines, special diets, large quantity food production and department policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Interpersonal skills
Valid drivers license, where required by the job
Organizational skills

Health Care Cook Certificate is an educational alternative that will equally meet the education requirements.
May consider hiring individuals without the required qualifications who will be required to complete the Journeyperson Cook Certificate within seven (7) years at his/her own expense as a condition of employment.
Unqualified applicants would have to meet the following criteria:
Professional Cooking Certificate or equivalent preferred, including the completed Cook Online Upgrading Pilot.
Food Safe Certificate
